The word eczema comes from a Greek term meaning “toboil” and it refers to a noncontagious disease that causes itchiness, redness and inflammation of the skin

The eczema is usually located on hands, feet, face, inner wrists and elbows, backs of knees, and tops of ankles.

  • Allergy to soap, detergent, metal and foods such as eggs, peanuts, chocolate, wheat, milk, and potatoes.

  • Dryness
  • Redness
  • Swelling

Nature Medicine and Home Remedies for Eczema

Home remedy # 1: Mix onetablespoon of olive oil with one teaspoon of garlic powder and pour on the infected area.

Home remedy # 2: Soak the affected area in vinegar and water for 20 minutes.

Home remedy # 3: Use 1 teaspoon of calendula dried leaves per cup of boiling water and apply this tea in the area twice aday.

Home remedy # 4: Apply a cotton ball saturated with a tea of witch hazel on the infected area several times aday.

Home remedy # 5: Mix half ateaspoon of garlic powder with a teaspoon of honey. Pour in the infected area.

 

Natural Cures Recommendations

Avoid tea, coffee, alcoholic beverages and all condiments and highly flavoured dishes.

Keep the skin moist and clean

Avoid irritants and known allergens as much aspossible.

Avoid application of lotions because contain alcoholwhich dry skin.

Use clothing and bedding 100% soft cotton, launder indetergent with no perfumes and wash in hot water will help to kill dust mites.

Avoid dry clothes or bedding outdoors, because pollenand other potential al­lergens are likely to cling to them.

Use mittens or socks to cover the hands at night toreduce the effects of scratching.

Stay away from people with chicken pox, cold sores,and other contagious skin infections.
