Sinusitis or sinus infection refers to an inflammation of the mucous membrane lining the paranasal sinuses

Sinusitis problem can affect virtually any person and sometimes follows the common influenza, cold and other general infections.

Sinuses are cavities or chambers contained in the bones of the head.  They are the frontal sinuses (located above the eyes), the maxillary sinuses (located within the cheekbones), the ethmoid sinuses (located between the eyes) and the sphenoid sinuses (located just behind the eyes).

Some causes of sinusitis are:

Home Remedy for Sinusitis #  1 Press for 15 to 30 seconds your sinuses with yourthumbs firmly on both sides of your nose.  Hold, release, and then repeat.  This action will temporarily relieve sinusitis pain because it brings a fresh supply of blood to the sinus.
